No Christmas present in sight yet? Lacrimosa can help – with a new album.
This will be released on 24.12.2021, as the band revealed today as part of a trailer. We don't know the title of the work yet, but what we can tell you is that Tilo Wolff reveals many exciting details about the production in the studio report in the current November Sonic Seducer issue!
In addition, you can expect the main story in our December/January issue (EVT: 30.11.21) as well as an exclusive remix on the enclosed CD.

Due to the worldwide restrictions, our plans for this special anniversary year got mixed up. And since we don't want to announce concerts which no one can predict today whether they can actually take place, we have considered the following:
We are playing one single anniversary concert in which the entire world can participate virtually!

We hope for your understanding that we cannot give away this show for free, because organization, logistics, stage and video technology, streaming tools, crew, etc. is not free and everyone involved should be paid for their work.

A moving time with moving music, in which we could celebrate many concerts with each other. Though often we couldn’t fulfil your wishes to come to your country and to your city. But now we do! We come to every living room, from Flensburg to Constance, from Tallin to Cà Mau, from Christchurch to Vancouver, and also to your home! All you have to do is, get your access ticket and we’ll be your guests!

Why this big hall for a streaming concert? Quite simply, the location must meet some requirements:
INTERNET: Only few halls have the infrastructure for Internet transmission in sufficient bandwidth.
AIRPORT: Crew and band members live across Europe. A location nearby an international airport saves travel and logistics costs.
DISTANCE RULES: We also need to follow them and therefor we need numerous and large rooms for all production employees instead of common oil sardine cans as backstages.
OPTICS: In order to provide real viewing pleasure on your screens, a large stage is required for many cameras shooting from different angles.
COSTS: Based on these and other requirements, negotiations started with various hall operators, whereby we were offered the best conditions here.

Warum diese grosse Halle für ein Streaming Konzert? Ganz einfach, die Location muss einige Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
INTERNET: Hallen sind konzipiert für ein Publikum vor Ort und verfügen nur selten über die Infrastruktur für Internetübertragungen in ausreichender Bandbreite.
FLUGHAFEN: Crew- und Bandmitglieder leben über Europa verteilt. Eine Location in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem internationalen Flughafen spart Reise- und Logistikkosten.
ABSTANDSREGELN: Auch wir müssen uns daran halten und dafür benötigt es zahlreiche und grosse Räumlichkeiten, auf die sich alle Produktionsmitarbeiter verteilen können. Es gibt viele, grosse Konzertsäle, deren Räumlichkeiten hinter der Bühne aber mehr an eine Ölsardinendose erinnern.
OPTIK: Damit das Konzert auf Euren Bildschirmen ein Sehvergnügen wird, braucht es eine grosse Bühne, auf der mittels vieler Kameras unterschiedliche Perspektiven eingefangen werden können.
KOSTEN: Ausgehend von diesen und anderen Voraussetzungen, gab es Verhandlungen mit diversen Hallenbetreibern, wobei wir hier die besten Konditionen angeboten bekamen.

"Leidenschaft (Passion)" – Lacrimosa could hardly have titled their new, 14th album better. In the 30th year of its existence, the duo presents a work that can definitely be described as the highlight of their work. In addition to the interview with Tilo Wolf, we have an exclusive song on our CD with "Raubtier (Grazioso)".
